Alexander Stutterheim founded this eponymous rainwear label with elements of both functionality and melancholia in mind. As a native of Sweden, he is instilled with the philosophies of minimalism and an eye for the marriage of style and function. The brand is best known for its updated iteration of the traditional raincoat from the 1960s, in this case made in memory of the designer's fisherman grandfather. With the highest quality standards and the help of a modest textile factory in the South of Sweden, Stutterheim was able to recreate the old rubber coat reappropriated for the modern man. Meant for life in city, countryside and at sea, Stutterheim’s raincoat encourages an embrace of the elements rather than a hindrance from them.
