Hand-thrown in England from regional natural red clay. The bottom of the mugs is left raw, revealing the character of the clay, while the rest of the mug is glazed with metal salts, delivering lovely variation between each piece. The handmade nature is felt directly through the handle, shaped using a traditional hanging method where the ridges are formed by the creases in the potter’s fingers. Wider than an espresso cup, this mug was designed to be suitable for a short coffee, macchiato or cortado.
