"I read and collect a lot of food books, and this is one of my favourites. Patience Grey was a pretty incredible woman (her biography, by Adam Federman, is worth a read too) who travelled all over Europe between the wars and then again in the 1960s where she and her sculptor partner lived all around the Mediterranean following a seam of marble. She wrote and illustrated Honey From a Weed describing Mediterranean food as she ate it and cooked it, without electricity or running water."
