Wide fitting, high waisted, straight leg jeans cut from a soft, washed indigo denim that has been etched with an irregular, textured pattern derived by taking a frottage rubbing of the Aji granite entrance to Taiga Takahashi’s Gion store. Feature a button fly, button closure, suspender buttons at the waist, a buckle-back waist cinch, classic five pocket styling, a mud-dyed leather patch at the waistline, and rivet reinforcements throughout. A closer fit through the hips expands generously at the thigh to create a sculptural column-like silhouette, falling with a dynamic grace that is accented by the rich texture of the pattern. Constructed with chain stitched seams throughout, chain stitched hems, flat felled finishing at the seat, and a selvedge cut outseam keeping with the rich tradition of denim manufacturing.

NOTE: All metal components are cast from unfinished iron, intended to encourage the development of a rich patina through the garment’s life.
