Rooted in the centuries-old tradition of Japanese Shibori, the Murase family has been perfecting this textile finishing technique in the town of Arimatsu for over 100 years. Hiro Murase founded Suzusan in Düsseldorf, where he studied at Kunstakademie. Suzusan blends this intricate craft with contemporary design, ensuring shibori’s preservation and relevance for future generations. Each piece is a labour of love, passing through multiple hands to create unique textiles with flowing colour gradients and detailed patterns.
