First launched as a fabric treatment under the Issey Miyake line in 1988, Pleats Please became it's own line in 1994. With Pleats Please, a garment is fully sewn and produced, and then pleated, resulting in a unique product.
The clothes are functional - they are lightweight, can be packed small, and cannot be dry cleaned - and are a merging of elegance and comfort. This brand reflects Issey Miyake's fundamental concept that "design is not for philosophy, but for life," and continues to evolve today.
