The shoes we wear determine how our bodies interface with the physical world, adapting to the position of the body as much as the body adapts to their innate qualities. For Footworks founder Takeshi Mori, the shoe, and more crucially the insole, has the power to be therapeutic. Footworks offers shoes of their own design as well as a custom insole service, seeking the individualized footbed profile that positions the body in what Mori sees as its most balanced position. High grade leathers and a stripped back minimal design language combine with a more clinical tendency to achieve a highly specific definition of timeless comfort.
